This TVA Occupational Safety Training has been designed for individuals and teams who want to gain a solid foundation in occupational safety practices as applied in Finnish workplaces. During the training, participants will acquire knowledge of Finnish safety regulations, risk assessment techniques, risk management, and safe working methods — enabling them to contribute to safer operations in shared work sites.

The course is intended for people working in mixed-use, multi-contractor, or industrial environments, including subcontractors, site personnel, supervisors, and newcomers to the Finnish safety regime. The training is valid for 5 years.

Key course details

  • Format: e-learning (self-paced), with optional webinar or classroom format for groups 
  • Duration: Approximately 4 hours of e-learning, followed by a final test 
  • Number of modules/lessons: Multiple modules, covering introduction, legislation, accident theory, risk management, personnel roles, safe working practices & procedures, emergency actions, and final test 
  • Access: Full online access — study at your own pace, take breaks whenever you wish, and continue late.

Certificate Options

Upon completing the course and passing the final test, participants receive a certificate confirming their compliance with Occupational Safety issues. Choose one of three certification formats:

  1. Downloadable Certificate (PDF) – An electronic certificate available immediately; ideal for quick sharing in CVs or LinkedIn. If you would like to download the certificate as a PDF file, click the print button and from print settings select “PDF file”.
  2. Virtual Card – A mobile-friendly digital card stored on your device for easy, on-the-go access. Participants can download and present the virtual card directly from the server, which also includes a smart QR code providing a detailed course description for the receiving party.
  3. Plastic Card – A physical card delivered by mail, perfect for those who prefer a tangible record—this includes access to the virtual card as well.

Certificates are valid for 5 years.
